We offer high quality British education for expatriate pupils aged 18 months to 18 years. Our fully qualified and experienced teachers currently teach pupils representing over 40 nationalities.
Children joining our school at Pre-nursery, Nursery and Reception age (18 months to 4 years) follow The Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum based on the National Curriculum of England. This stage of learning provides the highest standards in teaching to support your child’s early development in essential learning skills at this important stage of their lives.
The English National Curriculum, which has been adapted to meet the needs of expatriates, applies to all of our pupils from Key Stage 1 (5 years old) to Key Stage 4 (16 years old). We offer courses leading to qualifications in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), which are validated by UK examination boards. We offer the International Baccalaureate programme to students in Years 12 and 13. As a high level international qualification, it is recognised by universities throughout the world.
Our modern, state-of-the-art facilities include two age-appropriate libraries, a multi-purpose lecture hall, an Internet café, interactive SMART boards in every classroom, Mac and Dell computer labs, science labs, large outside play areas, two indoor sports halls, two playing fields and a fitness suite. We also have access to pools and tennis courts at nearby Forest Manor. Our extensive secondary facility alongside the primary school, including a 25-meter indoor pool, an all-weather football/rugby pitch, state-of-the-art library and art studios and a 450-seat theatre, will be opening in September 2011.
Our school is located within the heart of the expat community on the Puxi side of Shanghai, in close proximity to the Shanghai Racquet Club, Forest Manor and several other well-known expat compounds. In addition, we are also very close to Hongqiao Airport, which will soon be Shanghai’s new transportation hub.
