The 27th Annual Conference for British International Schools

"Celebrating the Expansion of British International Education"

10th-12th May, 2008.

The 2008 Annual Conference took place in London at the Royal Horseguards Hotel and One Whitehall Place. The conference was attended by more than 100 delegates and guests from all over the world.

Speakers included Brian Moses (children’s author), Pat Langham (past president of the Girls’ Schools Association), Sarah Castell (Ipsos Mori), Rosemary Taylor (Key Issues Consulting), Chris Parry (ISC), Tim Brighouse (former Commissioner for London Schools), and Hilary Wilce (Education Journalist).

Workshops and seminars were led by Sue Horner (QCA), Mick Walker (NAA), Phil Whitehead (Oxford Brookes University), Geoff Lucas (HMC), Karen Waltham (Learning to Earning), Jane Crowley (British International Primary School of Stockholm), Mike Nicholson (Oxford University), Shane Rutter-Jerome (AGBIS), and Philip Davis (Picture the Music).

The conference provided a wonderful opportunity for heads, governors, and senior managers from British schools around the world to meet, network, listen to key speakers, share best practice, and learn from one another .
